CHALLENGE

The Jade Residences, a 48-story luxury condominium, was developed as the pinnacle of exclusive living in Miami. As part of creating that vision, the developer, Fortune International, enlisted the highly refined design eye of Tessi Garcia for the interior of the 326-unit building.

The building required a design plan that would maintain the image of exclusivity while providing a comfortable atmosphere for its residents. Garcia's award-winning expertise in manifesting the vision of her clients made her the perfect choice for this project. One of her first decisions was to create a 25-foot waterfall for the main lobby.

Garcia knew she would need a reliable partner that could construct the waterfalls exactly to specifications while adhering to the highest aesthetic, technical, and business standards.

That partner was Harmonic Environments, a firm specializing in precisely the effect Garcia sought for The Jade: dramatic elements with subtlety in presence.

PROCESS

Once the design concepts were approved, Harmonic Environments developed custom drawings for the water feature and made certain that all details would meet project specifications. The result was a spectacular 25-foot stainless steel waterfall that perfectly complements the large interior windows. The water patterning that forms on the vertical drop is visually captivating, and the sound of the water is immediately audible upon entering the building.

Special light optics and a state-of-the-art sound system create a feeling of elegance and relaxation. Just as importantly, Harmonic Environments’ exclusive ZonePure® water purification system actually sanitizes the flowing water as it reduces maintenance.

RESULTS

Garcia’s overall design was so successful it earned her an award. Meanwhile, her waterfall continues to vitalize its surrounding space while accentuating the welcome-home feel of the lobby.
